Hi! my name is Maddy Barbary Copley and I’m a proud Kureinji woman born in Mildura Victoria.

I live and work on Latje Latje country. My connection to country runs deep with the red dirt, blue skies and mighty Murray river.

My style is a mix of traditional storytelling and contemporary flare with colours that speak louder than words.

My biggest inspiration comes from her mob who strive to have their voices heard and from her mother and grandmother who work hard every day to reawaken their culture.

I create to keep my culture and my mob’s story alive, share their truth and bring people together through art.

I have done many commissions, am a featuring artist on Yarn Marketplace and have participated in combined exhibitions.
