This piece is inspired by the Mallee sky — the way the day fades through deep purples, maroons, orange, soft pinks and gold, before settling into night.
There’s a quiet moment in that transition where everything slows, but nothing really stops. Country keeps moving. The light leaves, and then it finds its way back again.
Built slowly, layer by layer, this weaving follows that same rhythm. No rush — just letting the form and colour come together over time.
Finished with hand-foraged Quandong seeds, bringing it back to place and grounding the piece in something real, something carried from Country itself.
